About the Liz Nix Fundraiser

In 2022, First Commerce launched a fundraiser to honor the memory of Liz Nix, a passionate advocate for animal welfare and mother of Rodney Nix, member of FCCU’s Nashville Advisory Council. More than $4,000 was raised in her honor to support Hearts to Homes Humane Society in Nashville, Ga.

Due to the success and positive response, First Commerce continued its efforts as it heads into its fourth year of supporting local animal rescue organizations in multiple markets, including our Georgia markets: Nashville, Thomasville and Valdosta, and our Tallahassee, Florida market.

The Liz Nix Fundraiser for Animal Rescue runs during National Pet Month May 1 – May 31.
